Good morning, boys and girls. Happy Sabbath! I hope you guys had a great week and Good morning, boys and girls. Happy Sabbath! I hope you guys had a great week and that you are ready for the cold. It's getting pretty cold—I had to put on my long sleeves here. But hopefully, you survived the rain and aren't too cold.
So, with that, we'll go ahead and open our Bibles and jump straight into our children's story today. Today's Bible verse comes to us from John chapter 15, verse 5, where it says:
"I am the vine, and you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me, you can do nothing."
All right. And to illustrate that today, boys and girls, we're going to pull this guy out. I haven't pulled this guy out in so long [laptop computer]. Now, this helped me a lot in life. It helped me a lot in school. We can do quite a bit on it—we can make videos, much like the one you're seeing right now. We can make phone calls, we can send messages, we can do a lot of stuff, right?
So, I should be able to open it up and continue doing that, right? Right? It's dead, you see. Nothing. So why is that? Hmm? Well, it's probably because I haven't charged it in so long.
So, if we go ahead and plug this guy in—alright, we can see, I don't know if you guys can see it on camera, but there's a little orange light that we're seeing here. And now, if we turn on the laptop—if it turns on—oh, look at that, boys and girls! We can see that it's finally turning on. It's been so long, so it probably needs to get updated and all that.
But this computer is kind of like us, boys and girls. When we're not connected to God, we can't function. It doesn't matter how fancy the laptop is. It doesn't matter what it can do. At the end of the day, if it's not plugged into its power source, it can't do anything. And that's how we are, boys and girls. We have to continuously stay connected to our power source—God.
And with that, we'll be able to do a lot of things. We'll be able to forgive. We'll be able to see the good in people. We'll be able to do all these things that we never once thought possible, because we're making less room for the human in us—the sinful part—and making more room for Him.
So, boys and girls, every time you plug in your laptop or an electronic device that needs to be charged, much like this one, always remember that just like that laptop or device, you too need to be plugged in to your power source.
All right. We could stay here all day and wait for it to fully boot up, but you guys get the point. There it is, right on time.
All right, so let's go ahead and close out with a word of prayer.

Dear Holy Father, Lord, thank you so much for another beautiful Sabbath morning. Thank you for the rain that we got this past week, Lord. I ask that you continue to keep us warm, keep us safe, and may you forgive us of our sins, Lord. Be with the families represented here. May you nourish and strengthen them. Turn the hearts of the families towards you, Lord, so that the children may ultimately turn towards you, Lord. We thank you once again, Lord, for all your abundant blessings. We love you and we thank you. All in your name, amen.
All right, boys and girls, we'll see you next time.
